'General Hospital' Spoilers 2014: A.J. Not Part of 'Great Love Story'
Popular ABC soap opera "General Hospital" will soon say goodbye to star Sean Kanan who plays A.J. Quartermaine on the show. While fans are sad to see him go, his exit promises to be exciting. He'll continue to be on the show until early April. For spoilers on upcoming "General Hospital" episodes form Kanan himself, read on.
Sean Kanan recently spoke to TV Guide about how much he enjoyed coming back to work on "General Hospital."
"I was utterly thrilled to be brought back to GH for the 50th anniversary and really enjoyed working with [executive producer] Frank Valentini, but I was not over the moon about the writing," Kanan said.
Kanan went on to speak about why he is being written off the show, while revealing a bit of what is, or rather, is not to come.
"Doing stories about panic attacks and relish was not what I thought I'd signed up for. I feel I brought everything I could to the character yet it was obvious they weren't going to give me a great love story, which I found very disappointing," he said.
So we will not see a romantic plotline for A.J. Quartermaine. How will A.J. be written off the show? Kanan remained somewhat tight lipped on the subject, but did provide some hints.
"I spoke with [executive producer] Frank and we mutually agreed that if I wasn't happy, and they could find a good way to write me out, that it was best to wrap it up."
