George Zimmerman's wife Files for Divorce. Shellie Zimmerman says George Zimmerman is "Acting Brand New" After Beating Murder Charge / Video Footage Inside

George Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman has filed for divorce from George after standing with him through his 18-month battle with the law after murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February 2012, Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges this past July.

Shellie recently did an interview with ABC News where she dished the dirt about who the real George Zimmerman is and the reasons she says she filed for divorce. Shellie told interviewers that her husband felt "invincible" and was now making "reckless decisions" after his acquittal. She said,

"I stood by my husband through everything and I kind of feel like he left me with a bunch of pieces of broken glass that I'm supposed to now assemble and make a life. It's just heartbreaking."

She says her marriage is "irretrievably broken" and that George is hot tempered and abusive verbally. The couple has sought out counseling, but it didn't work.

Shellie went on to say,

"I have a selfish husband. And I think George is all about George. I think I'm realizing that I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don't think that I ever really knew him at all."

When filing for divorce, Shellie asked for equitable distribution of their assets, which also means she will get a piece of anything he might gain from his recent legal suit accusing NBC of defamation.

Not really surprised, but the irony of it all is that she stood by him for as long as she did. Why didn't she give this testimony about his hot temper and abusiveness during his trial?
