'Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life' Release Date, Spoilers: What Fans Can Expect When Series Comes Back?
Lorelai and Rory are finally back on November 25 with four new 90-minute episodes of "Gilmore Girls" revival, titled "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."
This week, Variety interviewed some cast members of the series about their favorite "Gilmore" memories and what fans should expect when the series returns.
Actor Scott Patterson, who has been in the series since the beginning, talked about his experience when he first shot scenes for the series.
"My first day I walked into the rear of the set of Luke's Diner and was watching the two girls having a scene in the diner, and it was a cold day, but it all just felt right. After I finished shooting that first scene I knew it was going to work. That tuning fork goes on in your soul," he shared.
Patterson also revealed that when the series halted at season 7, he was among the first who clamored for a revival.
"I just thought the fans got a little stiffed there at the end of the seventh season. And I just know from my perspective, if I hang in there for seven years and I don't get the full monty, I'm going to ask for a refund," he said.
The actor also revealed that stepping back into Luke's skin again after years of hiatus was never easy for him, especially since his character was a little looser than Luke.
"He's loyal, he's loving, and maybe one of his best qualities is that he doesn't change. He's resistant to change. He has this Gibraltar-ish sense of comfort he can give," he said.
He further revealed that he and Lorelai will still be together when the series returns, figuring out their next steps in life together.
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" premieres on Netflix on November 25.
