'Gimme Shelter' Movie: Vanessa Hudgens Talks About Hardest Role Played

Vanessa Hudgens is currently in the making of a new major motion film called, "Gimme Shelter". The movie directed by Ron Krauss, is about a 16-year old mother-to-be who finds help at a suburban shelter. Vanessa Hudgens plays the main character, and talks about how it felt to play the role."Every single day was definitely a challenge but one I embraced with open arms," Hudgens told E! News. "It was just so thrilling top be able to push myself every day and see how far I could take it". During the making of the film, Vanessa chopped off her long dark hair and had to gain 15-pounds for role. Vanessa stated in an interview with E! News that gaining weight wasn't the hard part, she often describes herself as a 'foodie' anyways. "Getting it off was the more difficult part," Hudgens said. "It was a lot of exercise...Just doing a lot of cardio, a lot of yoga and just really anything active."

During the interview, Vanessa spoke about how the hardest scene she had to film was the birthing process. That she got so emotionally attached to the movie baby, and the movie belly that when the scene was over it was just done. "Probably the most physical and emotionally draining scene was my birthing scene," she said. "I've never shot a birthing scene and I ended up popping blood vessels in my face."There still has not been any trailer released for the upcoming film, or what it may be rated. "Gimme Shelter" will be in theatres Jan. 24 of 2014.
