'God's Not Dead' Movie Premiere and Review- Would You Stand Up for What You Believe In?

 

The new upcoming Christian fiim, "God's Not Dead", which is nearly four months away from being released, is gaining alot of controversary from fans and critics. The movie that challenges Christians to stand up boldy for what they believe in, is scheduled to be released in theatres on March 7th. The trailer for the Pure Flix Entertainment movie has received more than 5-million views so far. The plot for the movie "God's Not Dead" will be based off of a college student who faces that task of standing up to his arrogant atheistic professor that teaches against Christianity. The full synopsis reads:

"Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), a freshman college student, enrolls in a philosophy class taught by an infamous and dictatorial professor. "Dr. Radisson (Kevin Sorbo) demands that all of his students must sign a declaration that 'God is dead' in order to get a passing grade. Josh refuses. But, he needs to take this class to meet his academic requirements."

The trailer for "God's Not Dead" shows how adament the professor is by him flaunting the fact that he is a atheist around on the first day of college classes."This is Philosophy 150," the professor says. "I would like to bypass senseless debate altogether and jump to the conclusion which every sophomore is already aware of: There is no God. All that I require from each of you," the professor continues in his lecture, "is that you fill in the papers I've just given you with three little words: God is dead.". Josh however refuses and than strikes a deal with the Professor to earn a passign grade in the class. "And so the professor strikes a bargain,Josh must defend his position that 'God is alive' in a series of debates with him in order to stay in the class. If he loses, he flunks. When Josh accepts the challenge, he gets more than he bargained for-jeopardizing his faith, his relationships and even his future.", the synopsis reads. Featured guest actors and actresses in the film "God's Not Dead" will include Kevin Sorbo, Shane Harper, Dean Cain, and David A. R. White.  Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson  will also be appearing  in the film, and the award-winning Christian band Newsboys will perform  their hit song, God's Not Dead. Overall, the moral and basis of this story is for every Christian or believer of God to take a step back and really ask themselves, " If my Faith was tested, Could I explain why I believe in God and what I believe in ?".
