First, the drama category included the nominations 12 Years a Slave, Gravity, Captain Phillips, Philomena, and Rush. The best musical comedy category includes American Hustle, Her, Inside Llewyn Davis, Nebraska, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Some critics were surprised that Rush, the new Ron Howard racecar film, beat out Lee Daniels' The Butler for a Golden Globe Nomination this year.

The nominations that had viewers the most excited, however, were the inclusion of Netflix's original series House of Cards and fan favorite Breaking Bad starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. House of Cards received for nominations while Breaking Bad received three.

Frozen recently broke several records at the box office this Thanksgiving season along with the insanely popular movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire starring Jennifer Lawrence.
