GoPro Karma Recall 2016 Latest News & Details: Company Offers Refund For Returned Products

The company is offering refund as part of the GoPro Karma recall of around 2,500 drones that bought from Oct. 23.

In explaining the GoPro Karma recall, founder Nicholas Woodman said that safety is their top priority, which is probably a good thing considering the exploding batteries of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which already caused some injuries

"A very small number of Karma owners have reported incidents of power failure during operation," he said in a press release.

The GoPro Karma recall was announced after it was found out that some products are losing power at no reason at all. The company just wants to make sure that this glitch will not cause any undue injury.

"We have moved quickly to recall all units of Karma and provide a full refund while we investigate the issue," Woodman added. "We are working in close coordination with both the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Federal Aviation Administration. We are very sorry to have inconvenienced our customers and we are taking every step to make the return and refund process as easy as possible."

The company also encouraged everybody, even those who thinks that their Karma Drone is functional, to return the product immediately.
