'Gotham' Season 1 Spoilers, Cast Rumors: Actor Ben McKenzie Hints Graysons Family Appearance

If the latest reports circulating on the Internet turn out to be true, fans of the Batman prequel series 'Gotham' on Fox will soon be seeing the Graysons featuring in the upcoming episodes of the show.

In fact, actor Ben McKenzie, who portrays Detective James Gordon in the show, revealed to The Daily Beast that Robin's family might be making an appearance in the series relatively soon.

In a recent interview with the website, McKenzie said, "The Graysons may appear this season," adding, "I'm not 100 percent sure yet, but I think so."

Since 'Gotham' centers on the lives of the comic book characters prior to their transition into iconic heroes and villains, it is likely that Dick Grayson, who turns out to be Robin in due course, will play the role of a young boy. The appearance of the Graysons in 'Gotham' could also mean that the show will now be bringing Dick's parents or other older relatives into focus.

According to McKenzie, his character (Detective James Gordon) will have a new love interest. It may be noted that the 'Homeland' actress Morena Baccarin has just joined 'Gotham' to play the role of Dr. Leslie Thompkins and McKenzie asserts that Gordon and Leslie will have a close relationship - something more than just being friends.

He told The Daily Beast, "They just hired Morena Baccarin on 'Gotham' to play my love interest, Dr. Leslie Thompkins, and she said, 'Hey, I did an episode of The O.C.!' and I was like, 'What!?'"

The website further reported that Leslie will not be appearing in the series until 2015. Beyond all that, reports have confirmed that Nicholas D'Agosto will be joining 'Gotham' to portray the character of Harvey Dent.

Recently, Fox released a sneak peek for the upcoming ninth episode of 'Gotham' Season 1, which has been fittingly titled "Harvey Dent." The sneak peek shows D'Agosto's character teaming up with Gordon to solve the Wayne murder.

"Harvey Dent" will air on Monday, Nov. 17, at 8 pm on Fox.
