New TV show “Grace in High Heels” to debut this month
A new weekly television show, "Grace in High Heels" featuring author/speaker/singer Shannon Perry, will debut this month on the NRB Network. The 30-minute format will include teaching segments from Perry's various women's conferences and deal with issues such as finding balance and purpose, taming the tongue, overcoming past hurts, living holy in the real world, among many other topics.
NRB Network is a non-commercial, public interest television channel airing on DIRECTV ch. 378, on Sky Angel ch. 181, via online video streaming and on select local affiliates. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, NRB Network reaches a national audience 24 hours a day with Christian programming that educates, entertains and embraces biblical truth. A signature genre block programming model is designed to reach distinct viewer segments with the right shows at the right times.
Perry averages 50-75 events per year, scheduling her topical women's conferences across the country. To date, her conferences have donated over 2,000 pairs of shoes to Dress for Success, a charitable organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Perry also hosts a 2-minute syndicated radio show which is now heard in several states by an audience of over half a million listeners. Her book, Grace in High Heels: Real-life Reflections of Humor, Hope & Healing, is based in part on material from her conferences and includes true stories from Perry's life. Gospel Music Channel says the book is a "humorous yet honest look at life's everyday moments...Shannon Perry helps readers know that God's grace abounds in every situation."
In addition to her conferences, Perry performs solo concerts around the country and sang the National Anthem before 70,000 fans at a Houston Texans home game. She has also performed with the Houston Symphony and at Carnegie Hall. Perry has written articles for various media outlets including regular contributions to Salem Communications' Crosswalk.com, Charisma Magazine, Christian Voice magazine, Christian Women of Today magazine, WestSideStory.net, and EverydayChristian, to name a few. Her most recent recording, "The Real Thing," was produced by Lifeway Christian Resources' Producer of the Year,Paul Marino.
Perry holds a Master's Degree in Education and Counseling and worked within the public school system over 14 years before going into full-time ministry.
