GRAMMY Award winner Rebecca St. James releases long-awaited 10th studio album 'Kingdom Come'
Today, GRAMMY Award winner and nine-time DOVE Award winner Rebecca St. James has released her long-awaited studio album Kingdom Come. This marks her first full-length album since 2011 and explores a season of growth for St. James. Born out of a call for revival, the 12 songs on Kingdom Come aim to encourage listeners to put trust in Christ as that is the only answer. Joined by guest vocalists Bethel Music’s Brandon Lake and Josh Baldwin, artist Kalley Heiligenthal and her brothers, Luke and Joel of for KING & COUNTRY, St. James uses modern pop sounds to paint pictures of what God’s presence looks like now and forever. “It feels like quite an epic moment for me, to release this new worship album Kingdom Come,” shares St. James. “So much of my heart, story and life are written into the lyrics! God has brought me into a new season of music ministry with my family beside me, and for this I am incredibly grateful. I pray that listeners will be transported into an encounter with Jesus through this album; that it will encourage, edify, and bring hope. May His kingdom come and a revival begin...and let it start with us!”
ABOUT REBECCA ST. JAMES
Among the most defining artists in Christian music history, GRAMMY®-winning singer/songwriter, best-selling author, speaker, and actress Rebecca St. James catapulted into the global spotlight following the release of her self-titled Forefront Records debut in 1994. The Australian native’s modern pop sensibilities and uncompromising lyrics set a benchmark in Christian music, leading a new generation of artistry in the genre.
St. James has earned multiple Dove Awards, nine #1 Christian radio singles and two GOLD®-certified recordings, and her discography includes such iconic albums as Pray, God and Transform. Author of the best-selling titles Wait For Me (Thomas Nelson) and Pure (Hachette/Faithwords), among others, she starred in the 2009 film Sarah’s Choice; portrayed Mary Magdalene in the groundbreaking rock opera !Hero; and voiced ‘Hope, The Angel’ in VeggieTales’ best-selling The Easter Carol, in addition to other diverse roles.
Following a hiatus from recording and touring—during which time she married and started a family—St. James returned to the stage in 2018 to perform with her brothers, multi-GRAMMY® and Dove Award winning duo for KING & COUNTRY, and co-wrote several selections on their blockbuster 2018 recording, Burn the Ships. Her new album, Kingdom Come, will be released via Bethel Music on March 25, 2022.
