'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' News: Chris Pratt Talks There Won't Be Another Movie Like 'Guardians of The Galaxy 2'

Actor Chris Pratt sat down for an interview on "Good Morning America" on September 20 in New York, where he dropped some interesting details about "Guardians of the Galaxy 2."

According to Pratt, the movie will pick up months after the events in the first installment.

"It picks up a couple of months after the events of the first movie. I can't say much, but it's going to be the spectacle movie of all time. I don't want to oversell it."

"Guardians of the Galaxy" was Marvel's first venture out into the cosmos and was one of the best movies ever made by the comic book company. After the first installment of the film opened up Marvel's cinematic universe to the cosmic realm, its sequel is now set to change things yet again.

During the interview, Pratt claimed that there would never be another movie quite like the sequel to the first film, directed by James Gunn.

"From all movies up till now, and also all movies extended forward. Never will there ever be anything like this again--so that's cool," he quipped.

While Gunn has not yet finished editing the movie, Pratt's words seemed to suggest that everyone involved in the project is confident about how spectacular the upcoming movie is. In fact, even Kurt Russell said in an earlier interview that the new installment of the film is "much stronger than the first one."

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is set for release on May 5, 2017.
