'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2' Teaser Trailer News, Breakdown And Reveals: Characters Revealed In This Clip, Drax Hugs Star-Lord [WATCH]

Marvel has released a teaser trailer of James Gunn's Marvel Comics film sequel "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" and it features the characters, as well as Drax hugging Star-Lord for comfort.

The clip opens with a tunnel and is followed by a spacesuit station, which shows the text that reads "spacesuits for emergency or for fun." The next sequence show's Drax's back, confirming that the clip is indeed "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" It is followed by Gamora walking in a place, which resembles a forest, and a silhoutte of a man holding two weapons.

The next scene sees Gamora unveiling her sword, runs, and jumps, which suggests a combat scene. It is followed by Rocket walking, with several beings falling. The trailer also sees Gamora and Star-Lord who activates his face mask, which slightly resembles Ant-Man's. Another sequence shows Star-Lord flying a spacecraft.

The trailer also shows Star-Lord and Drax, with the latter telling the former that he needs to find a woman who is pathetic like him. Then, Drax hugs him while the film's iconic soundtrack plays.

According to Screen Rant, the film is set to see Rocket and Groot, who has grown back to a "pine cone-sized killer." The character was seen as a single twig at the conclusion of "Guardians of the Galaxy" and now, he is riding on Rocket's shoulder in battle. With the change in his size, It is assumed that the way he battles is set to change in the upcoming sequel.

The film is also assumed to take place in Knowhere, according to Collider. As per the publication, it is the Guardians' headquarters in the comics and it is featured as the tunnel where Star-Lord is standing while holding his weapons in the trailer. It is added that that tunnel could be Celestial, but it is yet to be confirmed.

"Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" serves as the sequel to Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy." It stars Dave Bautista, Kurt Russell, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stalone, Chris Sullivan, Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Pratt.

Directed by Gunn, the film is produced by Kevin Feiger, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Louis D'Esposito, Simon Hatt, Nikolas Korda, and Lars P. Winther.

Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" is slated to premiere in United States theaters on May 5.
