Gwyneth Paltrows Says Haters Don't Matter After Being Named "Most Hated Celebrity" by Vanity Fair
From "Most Beautiful Woman" in the world to "Most Hated Celebrity." Actress Gwyneth Paltrow knows all two well how one title comes along with the other.
However, the wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin could care less about the people who don't approve of her behavior.
"This is the thing, it's like the older I get, I realize it doesn't matter what people who don't know you think. It doesn't matter. You're wasting your energy," Paltrow told Red. "It's like, if your partner comes to you -- or your best friend -- and says, 'Listen, I want to talk about something you did that hurt me, or I think you could improve,' sit down and listen to what they have to say," the Academy Award-winning actress said of the people whom she actually cares about.
Blythe Danner, Paltrow's actress mother considers her daughter is "extraordinarily accomplished and thinks she handles the criticism with grace.
"I admire her so much. [The criticism] doesn't faze her," she told Naughty But Nice at the premiere of her new play The Commons of Pensacola. "I think it probably did initially. She said, 'Mum, I'm going to get this all my life. This is how they see me'."
She went on describe the Internet generation as lazy and ready to aim their crosshairs on anyone who will click on a gossip article.
"Some people don't like that, people who are bored and sit on their [expletive] all day and just tap away. I mean I don't read any of it, I just find it so disgusting. There is a coarsening of our culture today that is just so tragic."
Vanity Fair recently published an article naming Paltrow the "Most Hated Celebrity" in showbiz.
