'Halo 5' DLC Release Date News Update: New Content On ‘Monitor’s Bounty’

There's good news in the horizon for "Halo 5" DLC, just in time for Christmas, as 343 Industries announced new content called "Monitor's Bounty" to be released on Dec. 8.

The new DLC will include new weapons, skins, armors as well as new gameplay modes.

According to the blog post from the developer's website, the new downloadable content will add the Custom Games Browser, in response to fans' clamor, for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.

Vincent Hui, 343 UX design lead, shared the news about the latest "Halo 5" DLC as he said the Customs Games Browser is something they've been trying to do for a long time.

"The new Custom Games Browser enables you to search for in-progress games from the main menu," he explained. "Games you can join are based on their privacy settings when they are created in the lobby. We've also updated the Content Browser so that if you find a map or mode that you like, you'll be able to browse for in-progress custom games from that file's options."

Now, players can access the Forge and Arena multiplayers without paying a single cent.

Aside from Custom Games Browser, there's also the Observer Mode, which was first introduced during the 2016 Halo World Championship. This little ability allows players to find out which among the other players are on respawn, as well as those who are equipped with power weapons and power-ups.

"It's a long journey to go from prototype to shippable feature, so for this update we're excited to give everyone a chance to use it as part of Observer Mode," Hui added.

Watch out for more news on the "Halo 5" DLC, which will be published here when they come along.
