Hannah Kerr Concludes 'Christmas On The Round' Tour With Building 429, Johnny Diaz; New Single 'Radiate' Coming January 27
Hannah Kerr and Building 429's "Christmas in the Round" tour concluded on Dec. 17 in Florida.
Kerr joined the Grammy-nominated band on the "Food for the Hungry"-sponsored tour, which was largely based on Nashville's tradition of "musicians in the round." Featuring Matt Hammitt and Johnny Diaz, the tour kicked off on Dec. 9 in Massachusetts and featured intimate evenings of worship, stories and holiday classics.
In an interview prior to the tour, Kerr said she was blessed to be performing with Building 429 and the two guest artists, Diaz and Hammitt.
"I'm so excited for this upcoming tour with Building 429, Johnny Diaz and Matt Hammitt. These guys are some of the best people in Christian music and I'm blessed to be up there singing with them as such a new artist," she said.
"I'm performing my new Christmas single 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' on the tour and I can't wait for people to hear this jazz version live! Jazz is one of my favorite styles of music and I'm thankful that these rock stars decided to make space for a jazz song in the tour set list," she added.
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was picked by Kerr's fans before she added a Jazz flare to her own rendition of the song.
Meanwhile, Kerr's single, "Radiate," will go for adds on radio on Jan. 27, 2017. Co-written by Hannah and her brother Josh, the single is already receiving early airplay from WAY-FM radio network. It is part of the artist's first full album "Overflow," which features ten other tunes and will be released in the spring of 2017.
