Season four of Boardwalk Empire is winding down to its season premier. The first official trailer has already been released for the HBO series and you can view down below if you haven't already seen it.  For those who are new to Boardwalk Empire, I will give you a brief synopsis.

Boardwalk Empire is a drama series based in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Enoch Johnson, renamed in the show as Enoch Thompson, who controlled Atlantic City in the 1920s and 1930s. Thompson had his ties with mobsters, dirty politicians, and common street folk, but after taking a look at Thompson's expensive lifestyle while working as a political figure in the city, the FEDS become suspicious.

The season premier is set to air September 8^th at 9 pm on the HBO network. So what can we expect out of season 4? Show creator Terence Winter says the season will take place in February of 1924 during the Jazz Age. Prohibition is still in the works and they are light years away from alcohol being legal and Thompson's business is still booming. Although, business is good Thompson is now a loner living in Albatross Hotel and he and Margaret are still distant / estranged and the heroin addict who we thought overdosed, Gillian Darmody is alive and kicking.
