Hollywood Embraces Actors, Models & Talent for Christ at SHINE Talent Conference January 2014

A lot of people have seen the billboards or heard radio ads about Actors, Models and Talent For Christ (AMTC), but what is it? And, what is it doing in Orlando between Dec. 31 and Jan. 5, 2014?

Started in 1982, AMTCs SHINE Conference is a bi-annual talent event held in Orlando, Florida. AMTC is a third generation, family-run ministry, started by the 1940s super-model Millie Lewis and her daughter, Carey Lewis Arban.

The SHINE conference is attended by actors, models, singers, dancers and comedians from all over the world: children, teens and adults called by God to be role modelstalent missionaries in the worlds most important mission field: entertainment.

At this years SHINE, there will be over 560 performers being scouted by about 70 leading agents, managers, casting directors and music professionals. These VIP reps are from mainstream and Christian media seeking top talent. They return bi-annually, year after year since they find this top talent there.

Chanel Kong of NTA Talent Agency in Los Angeles has said, "I have been attending AMTC for over 10 years now. Throughout the years the talent just keeps getting better! The event grows stronger with all the passion and hard work that everyone brings to SHINE. I love attending because I know I will always find awesome talent. It is also a wonderful experience to network with other industry professionals."

SHINE has over 40 seminars during the six-day event because, success in the entertainment industry is about what you know and who you know, says Carey Lewis, AMTCs Chief Serving Officer. Also, it is a platform for performers to walk through the right doors that can make a difference and launch a career.

Brittany Giles of Bloc Talent Agency in LA & ATL agreed, "SHINE is an opportunity to not only meet industry professionals from across the nation but also to work on your craft in a weeks time. AMTC consistently offers amazing seminars, panel discussions, and showcases while staying centered in Christ. It's a blessing to be able to meet with all of the new talent each season and encourage them on their journey."

SHINE is known as a safe, family-oriented highway to Hollywood. Performers are prepared in The Bridge Training Program: a unique talent education program built on Gods Word and taught by godly coaches.

Performers who want to attend SHINE must audition and be accepted into the program. There is a comprehensive list of 2014 auditions on AMTCs website http://www.AMTCworld.com starting with: Atlanta, GA Dallas, TX, Mobile, AL, Springfield, MO, Maryland/DC and Milwaukee, WI., in January.
