'Homeland' Season 3 Premiere September 29 / Spoilers: "How Long Does Brody Have Left?" Carrie on the "Crazy Sauce" / [TRAILER]

It really is a golden era of television and the fall 2013 lineup is the cream of the crop.

The countdown for Homeland Season 3 is quickly nearing an end as the new season premieres Sunday September 29 on HBO.

So what do you need to know going into Season 3?

Claire Danes, who plays Carrie on the show, says it's a "really strong season" but a "little mournful" following the December 12 bombing outside of the George Bush Center of Intelligence at the end of Season 2.

Still reeling with the trauma Carrie's back in a bad mental state.

"I'm a little on the crazy sauce in the beginning of the season," she continued. "It's kind of sad this season, it's a little mournful," Danes told Billy Bush on the red carpet before the Emmys.

But how long does Brody have left?

Damian Lewis, the actor who plays Brody also weighed in on the red carpet.

"I think Brody has had a stay of execution... there were many times they could have killed Brody. I think it was because of the beautiful relationship that was working so well with this beautiful lady here, Claire, that I think [the writers] grew scared of it," he explained.
