Hostages New Premiere Preview [WATCH NOW] Season Starts Monday, September 23

The season premiere of the political thriller "Hostages" is right the corner, premiering Monday September 23 on CBS. The series is a mix between a political thriller and family drama. Focused on a family living in the suburbs of D.C. the mother is a surgeon who was selected to operate on the President of the United States.

The night before the surgery the family is taken hostage and she is given the ultimate ultimatum, "Either you kill the President of the United States during surgery, or we kill your family." simple as that.

Toni Collette plays Dr. Elen Sanders and Dylan McDermott plays Detective Duncan Carlisle as well as the captor of Elen Sander's family. The series is not based on your typical home invasion. In the second episode you will the family is out in the real world.

The season only has 15 limited episodes, but we will be seeing a season 2 of the thriller series. Show creator and Executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer says that "Hostages" will air from September to May. New series "Intellignce" will take over "Hostages" 10 o'clock spot after the first season wraps up in the mid-season.
