The premiere of the new TV show "Hostages" is tonight on CBS and it is shaping up to be one of the new hit shows of this fall season. The drama centers on a doctor's family who has been kidnapped and will be executed if she doesn't assassinate the president during his upcoming surgery. The "Hostages" premiere will feature a cast consisting of Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott among others. McDermott plays a rogue FBI agent who wants the president to be assassinated by Collette's character.

The season 1 premiere promises to be full of intense moments and major drama between the characters. McDermott's character Duncan Carlisle has some interesting quotes from the season 1 premiere. He says,  "Sometimes you have to do a bad thing for a good reason" when he is referring to the assassination of the president. What could the "good reason" be?
