'House of Cards' Season 2 on Netflix: Rep. Barney Frank Believes 'Cards' May "Mislead People" / Early 2014 Premiere on Netflix?

House of Cards, Netflix's most popular political drama [to date] has earned a lot of fans since its Season 1 premiere. The combination of simultaneous episode releases and an increasingly scary-creepy Kevin Spacey take on the government has cemented the series as an innovative insight into the Washington DC underbelly.

Though the show is a ratings smash, not everyone thinks it's an accurate depiction of real-world politics.

Representative Barney Frank [who is 16 years deep in the "House"] believes the amount of power Kevin Spacey's character, Frank Underwood, is a bit exaggerated.

'"House of Cards,' the Netflix series, has no stronger relation to political reality than the ratings given by Standard and Poor's packages of subprime mortgages had to economic truth. Having watched several episodes, I agree that it is well acted. My problem is that it might mislead people into thinking that this is the way our political system actually works. It is not," he said.

Well at least he endorses the show's acting chops!

House of Cards fans rest assured, showrunners for the series have already confirmed the show is currently filming Season 2. There's still no official release date for the sophomore season, but online rumors point to an early 2014 premiere.
