The House of Cards Season 2 premiere release date is almost here and there is new information regarding what will happen when the critically acclaimed Netflix series returns on Valentine's Day 2014.

Netflix announced that all 13 episodes of the second season will be released for fans to view next week.

Here is what information has been disclosed regarding the season 2 preview of House of Cards' brand new season, according to Spoiler TV.

In the second season, Francis (played by Kevin Spacey) and Claire (Robin Wright) Underwood maintain their merciless rise to authority as dangers surrounds them. Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara of American Horror Story fame), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis's ex-mistress is getting closer to the truth about his criminal activities.

In addition, President Walker's (played by Michael Gill, "The Good Wife") billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney, "Southland") threatens Francis that exchange political favors or else.

Claire must deal with her increasing notoriety as it destroys her and husband Francis' formerly private lives.

The Underwood couple must face obstacles from both the past and present in order to maintain their success and influence.

According to rumors, Molly Parker from "Deadwood," Sam Page from "Mad Men" and Joanna Going from "Close to Home" will all be added to the House of Cards cast.

The entire first season of House of Cards can viewed on Netflix in preparation of Season 2.

Season 2 of Emmy Award winning series House of Cards will be premiering on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.
