'House of Cards' Season 3 Spoilers, News: Is Doug Stamper Dead or Alive? New President New Problems?
Even though the official Season 3 release of 'House of Cards' has not been confirmed, going by the first two seasons, the show is likely to return in February 2015. On that note, Season 3 of 'House of Cards' will contain 13 episodes.
While the Netflix award-winning original series is currently in production, fans are looking for any leaks or spoilers they can get their hands on.
Rachel Brosnahan for one, has mentioned a little bit about what to expect Season 3. She is hopeful that Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) will be alive when the series returns to the air. Last views saw Doug, he was motionless but had his eyes open at the end of the finale. Fans will recall that Rachel's character, a prostitute, slammed him over the head with a rock in the forest.
"I don't think we know that he's dead yet. It cuts so quickly. I don't think we can say for sure that Stamper is dead," she hopes.
"Michael [Kelly] and I had some conversations [about the ending moments]. He's very upset with me! [Laughs] It was some tough, crazy scenes in the woods, but I don't think I've ever worked with an actor that is so kind and positive all the time. Michael's amazing. He can't be dead!" the actress added, talking to Entertainment Weekly.
Kelly, on the other hand, told Huffington Post he is unclear about what happened to his character. "I don't know -- they haven't officially said."
The fans are speculating that Rachel will be a new target for Frank and that Claire will get pregnant sometime in Season 3.
However, what fans are really looking forward to is seeing what Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) has in store for the other characters after becoming the new President of United States.
On a side note, the filming and production of 'House of Cards' Season 3 is taking place in Washington D.C. and Maryland.
