"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 Premiere: Release Date and SPOILERS with Promo Trailer [VIDEO]

"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 promises to be one of the funniest and most dramatic seasons of the hit sitcom yet. One of the spoilers going through the rumor mill is that Anna Camp from the popular vampire series "True Blood" will be joining the cast for season 9.  The spoilers say that her character will get in between Ted and the mother.

Another spoiler for the "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 premiere is that Ellie Kemper from the "Office" will be joining the cast for season 9. Unfortunately, it is looking like it Kemper will have a scheduling conflict and will be unable to appear.

The story arc of season 9 is said to follow Barney and Robin's honeymoon weekend and will start with their wedding ceremony. Actor Roger Bart from "Desperate Housewives" will play a part in the premiere episode, but it is unsure how much involvement he will have in the rest of the season. Some spoilers suggest that Robin will get cold feet at the wedding and will turn into a runaway bride for at least a portion of the season.

The premiere date of season 9 of "How I Met Your Mother" is set for September 23 and will run throughout the fall season.
