HTC Bolt 2016 Specs, Price News & Update: Different Name, Same Impressive Smartphone
The HTC Bolt is being repackaged as the HTC 10 evo for its global release, according to the news. By all indications, however, it's the same impressive smart phone the Taiwanese company is known for.
According to The Verge, the HTC Bolt was recently launched by Sprint in the United States. For the rest of the world, however, it's going to go by the name of HTC 10 evo.
The specs for the phone include a 5.5-inch display screen with 1440x2560 pixels resolution. It runs Android Nougat right off the box, and features a unibody metal frame with IP57 water resistant body. However, that's about the good news for the HTC Bolt.
Under the hood, it's still running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, when everybody else is already powered by the 821 processor. It also has a 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 250GB.
In related news, the company is offering a 3.5mm headphone jack for HTC Bolt owners. Those who want to avail may head on to the company website, type their purchase date, the transaction digits and the MEID of the phone. Of course, don't forget the address here the adapter will be shipped.
There's a caveat, however, since the offer is only offered to US citizens and it will expire on Feb. 28 next year.
Jeff Gordon, HTC spokesperson, told Android Central that future buyers of the HTC Bolt will get their adapters right out of the box. For price, the HTC bolt phone is rumored to be $599.
