HTC One M8, M7 Android 4.4.3 Update Release Date at End May 2014, Extreme Power Saving Mode to be Featured

The HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 are getting their Android KitKat 4.4.3 update in late May, according to various online rumors.

The latest Android OS fixes bugs such as unstable web connection, VPN network issues, camera focus, and random automatic boots among others.  The HTC One M8 will also be updated with an Extreme Power Saving mode while the smaller version, the HTC One M7, will get Sense 6.

According to CNET, Sense 6 is only available to the HTC One M7 developer version so far due to hardware limitations of the regular units.

The M7 667MB-sized update features advanced DuoCamera and improved motion gestures along with enhanced focus stability, while HTC One M8's software upgrade needs 695MB of internal storage.

HTC claims that One M8's Extreme Power Saving capability allows the phone to operate on a few hours' worth of processing even with as low as 5% of battery, according to T-Mobile News.

On low power, the unit allows phone calls, text messages, email, calendar activities, and calculator to function.  According to T-Mobile, One M8's software update also includes enhanced audio and Wi-Fi performance.
