IFA Berlin 2013: Battle Between Sony and Samsung Smart Phones VS Smart Watches.

There will be plenty on new phones and tablets to go around at this year's IFA (the world's leading trade show for electronics and home appliances), but the biggest reveal will be the rumored "smart-watches", which are generating a huge buzz.

Sony will be introducing its new flagship smartphone, the waterproof Zperia Z1, folded versions of their Vaio laptops, the "smart-watch2", and a hands free lens that mounts to smartphones and turns them into true-point-and-shoot cameras.

Samsung will be introducing the Galaxy Note 3, and its "smart-watch" called Galaxy Gear. The watch is supposed to allow its wearers to make and receive phone calls, text messages, and take digital pictures all from their wrist. Apple's version of smart-watches, of course called the iWatch isn't set to launch until later this year or possibly in 2014.

The trends from last year's IFA show were the infamous 3d TVs, but this year's trends will be on higher-resolution HD TVs called "Ultra HD screens" and wearable computers/phones known as smart watches, which was also started by Google with its reveal of Google Glasses.

The IFA show is being held in Berlin and is officially open to the public today through September 11. The show expected to have almost a quarter of a million people in attendance.
