iMac 2016 Release Date, Rumors: Consumers Unbox Apple’s Latest All-In-One This Month?

The rumors continue to spread like wildfire on the Internet with regards to the iMac 2016. While there's no confirmation from Apple, there's speculation right now about the October release date for a new version of the company's all-in-one desktop computer.

This rumor seemed to be based on the fact that Apple updated its iMac in October last year. A bit of a stretch really, but nothing less probable that all the rumors out there.

According to the rumors, the iMac 2016, much like the current lineup, would have a retina display for the more expensive 27-inch model. The 21.5-inch model, meanwhile, will also get the 4096 x 2304 Retina display option for those who can afford it.

There are talks of a 5K display on the 27-inch variant on the iMac 2016; not to mention the speculation that this is going to be the thinnest one yet. If that kind of display is mated to the 10-core Intel Xeon E7 or the AMD's latest video card, probably a Polaris, it would be a dream desktop indeed.

That type of specs would make it very likely that the iMac 2016 will support VR technology. That could also drive the price upwards considering that the price for the 27-inch iMac starts at $1,800.

But then again, nobody could accuse Apple fans of fussing over the cost, and the company has been banking on that trend for steady revenue stream over the years.
