iMessage News: How To Create Your Own GIFs In This Amazing New App?

Good news for iMessage users as Tumblr's new app allows them to create their own GIFs, all the more to make texts to their friends more interactive and fun.

This bit of news is shared by Digital Trends, saying that iPhone users can make use of the Tumblr extension in their iMessage to send silly messages to friends and families.

The GIFs that you make are also easily customizable, as you can add emojis and text to the clip. This extension is part of the iOS 10 update. To be clear, however, your iPhone doesn't really animate the graphic, it's the tumblr extension that does that using the GIF camera.

Apple seems bent on one-upping Google's new messaging service, the Allo.

In related news, for example, the stickers and apps in the iMessage App Store has almost reached 1,700. That's a lot of toys to play with for the user.

To compare, when the iMessage Store was just starting, there were only about 400 apps available. This ballooned to the present number because of the integration of the third-party apps into the native App Store. The sticker packs, meanwhile, have over 1,200 styles although around 75% of them are not free.

There are other goodies for iMessage users as well. For instance, there's an app that allows them to use and send handwritten notes. There are games, entertainment and utilities. If they are busy, they can reply very quickly with just a tap.

Watch out for more news on the iMessage service, which will be published here when they come along.
