'Indiana Jones 5' Movie Cast Rumors: Possible Fifth Installment, Harrison Ford Open to Idea
Currently, there's not much news floating around about a fifth installment to the 'Indiana Jones' franchise, but there has been a slip of some sorts. Rumor has it that Janusz Kaminski's current film project is actually 'Indiana Jones 5'.
Rumors sprouted after a recent article published by Variety made a casual remark saying that Janusz Kaminski's next project may possibly be a fifth installment of 'Indiana Jones'. However, the article was removed by the site, which tagged it as a piece of "incorrect information."
It is worth noting here that Janusz Kaminski has worked together with the 'Indiana Jones' franchise director Steven Spielberg before. He was the director for photography for the 2008 film 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'.
It's difficult to say whether the article was a slip or top secret information that was revealed too early. Still, fans crave to see the archaeologist in action in his iconic hat, particularly after the rights of the film were acquired by Disney in December last year.
Currently, Harrison Ford is 72 years-old and was also injured during the production of the upcoming 'Star Wars' film. Therefore, it would not be a surprise if Disney decided to scout different options in terms of Dr. Jones this time around.
On that note, rumors about who will be playing the lead role result in some interesting names.
Some reports claim that Robert Pattinson and Bradley Cooper are among the favorites to take on the famous role. However, both actors have said there is no authenticity regarding the news. More recently, some enthusiasts have added Chris Pratt to the list.
Conversely, there are rumors that Harrison Ford is very interested in taking the whip again following a hiatus of six years and will continue the adventures of Indiana Jones. There are also rumors that Disney plans to make two more films for the franchise.
In fact, Ford is very open to the idea of an 'Indiana Jones 5' once producers manage to generate "an idea, and if it comes to a productive stage, all of us are very interested in making another."
