iPad 5 Release Date, New Screen/Digitizer Replacement Black [PICTURES] for Apple Tablet $199.99

Apple has kept very tight lipped on when they would unveil and release the new iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2. It used to be assumed that they would release at the same time, but now there are reports that the release of the two tablets would be staggered and that there could be multiple versions of the iPad Mini 2 released, one with retina display and one without.

A September release is still want Apple consumers are hoping for. Late September into the first week of October is usually when they have done new launches in years past.

iPad 5 rumors are at a all time high with the release of the new tablet as early as next month.

New pictures have leaked from Macfixit with an iPad 5 screen/digitizer replacement screen that they are advertising for $199.99.

According to Macfixit here are some of the claims on the new iPad 5:

- The display area is the same as the iPad Retina.

- The edges of the frame are narrower using the same style as the iPad mini.

- The ITO (Indium tin oxide) is the same as the iPad mini.

- There is now 2 connectors instead of 1.

- The connectors have been changed from FFC (Flat Flexible Cable, like the iPad 2/3/4) to FPC (Flexible Printed Circuits, like the iPhone 4/5).

The guy taking the picture clearly did not think about his facing showing up in the reflection, which is unfortunate for him. It does give us a little more insight the new iPad 5 and confirms a lot of the rumors already out about the new tablet.
