iPad 5 Release Date, Rumors [VIDEO]: Apple to Release Thinner, More Efficient iPad 5 in September?
When Apple announced it's fifth generation iPad, the iPad 5, most could have predicted the design to be thinner and lighter. Now rumors of the iPad 5 using new LED technology have started buzzing around the Internet. Though no word from Apple, and the iPhone 5S slated for a June release, the iPad 5 is rumored for a September release and will most likely resemble the iPad Mini.
Along with a sleeker design and new LED technology, the screen is also expected to be bigger on the iPad 5.
Along with being 15 % thinner [Ming-Chi Kuo, Appleinsider] the iPad 5 will come equipped with GF2 screen technology, which will conserve battery life more than previous models.
"Kuo sees the 'iPad 5' as requiring less juice, and expects a 25 to 30 percent decrease in battery size. Compared to the existing version, the cells will be reduced from three to two and will see a 15 to 20 percent reduction in thickness," according to Appleinsider.
Also according to Appleinsider the iPad 4's 5-megapixel camera will remain the same, as well as the front-facing FaceTime HD capabilities.
