iPad Pro 2 Release Date, Specs News, Rumors: 10.5-Inch Tablet To Target Businesses, Educators?
The news and rumors are silent on the iPad Pro 2 as the year draws to a close, and Apple is stubbornly sticking its head in the sand even as speculations about the new phablet have been regurgitated and shared in forums and websites.
The last news report about the iPad Pro 2 was from Ming-Chi Kuo who predicted that there will be three variants of the phablet: the 9.7-inch Pro, the 12.9-inch Pro and the 10.5-inch variant. The last model is believed to be marketed towards the education and business sectors.
"If the iPad comes in a larger size, such as a 10.5-inch model, we believe it will be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and education markets," he said. "As a result, we expect Apple to launch a 10.5-inch iPad Pro in 2017."
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 will also come with a bezel-less design, according to the rumors;Â although Japanese news site Makotakara suggests a bigger phablet at 10.9 inches. In terms of thickness, it's going to be the same as the iPad Air.
The article claimed that the only thing that will remain as bezel in the new phablet would be the top "with the FaceTime camera is equipped." There will also no home button to speak of in the new device.
There's also the rumor about the next iPad Pros being foldable, at least based on the patent applied for by Apple. But then again, this is a new technology that might not see to fruition next year.
Watch out for more news and rumors on the iPad Pro 2, which will be published here when they come along.
