iPhone 5S & 6 Release Date in September Along with Unveiling Cheaper Version? iOS 7 Launch All Within Weeks
Apple has anticipation at a fever pitch for the release of their new iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 smartphones.
There are several reasons for this, first, with all of the new competition getting stronger and stronger, consumers want to see if Apple will add any "wow" factors to the new phones to keep them at the top like they have in previous years.
Second, all of the rumors about a low-cost "budget" iPhone has everyone wanting this to be confirmed or denied officially and to see what it looks like and what features it has if it is true.
Nothing is certain, but it seems pretty unanimous that the iPhone 5S will release in sometime in September. Also, the official launch of iOS 7 to all users will come in September, with some predicting September 18th.
The bigger question is if the iPhone 6 will be launched around the same time. This is new ground for Apple, so it is hard to tell.
The new reported low-budget iPhone, named iPhone Lite or iPhone 5C, will have a price tag of $450-550 or just $99 with a new contract. The "cheaper" iPhone would stay at a 4-inch screen while the newer versions will move to larger screens. It will also have a dual core processor and a 8MP back camera.
Some are saying the release date of the iPhone 5S to be September 20, followed by the iPhone 6 on September 27, with the iOS 7 expected to launch on September 18. Others, including the highly trusted Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities suggests a September 11 release for both 5S and 6.
iOS 7 beta version 5 just released to developers and it keeps showing improvements which bodes well for the excitement of having all consumers cross over into iOS 7 territory.
The South-Korean tech giant, Samsung has seemed to capture a market with releasing a variety of phones and this could be Apple's time to jump on board.
The iPhone 5S is expected to have a 4.3-inch display screen and the iPhone 6 may have as large as a 4.7 or 5-inch screen, which seems to be the trend with other phones and bigger screens.
So if the low-budget iPhone does release, the question would be, if it has a price of $99 and the iPhone 5 would move to a price of $99 and they both have the same sized screen, why would you get a low-budget new iPhone with a plastic shell when you could just pick up the iPhone 5 for the same price?
I'm sure they have thought of that though, so we will find out all the details in a few weeks.
Do you think the low-budget iPhone is going to become a reality in September? Do you think people will buy it?
