iPhone 5S Release Date Rumors Roundup: September 10 Reveal, Hits Retailer 10 Days Later? / Larger f/2.0 Aperture, A7 Chip Processor
Next month, Apple is expected to release a new iPhone 5S and a cheaper version of the flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5C.
Apple insiders across the Web point to a September 10 release date, with both models hitting retailers September 20.
Enough about the release date, what about the features and specs? And colors?
As for promising specs the new iPhone 5S will have to do a camera re-haul. Matching the ever popular HTC One, the new iPhone 5S is expected to feature a larger f/2.0 aperture with a dual LED flash. If the improved aperture rumor is true, it means more light will be able to pass through, helping photo quality in low light conditions.
As with every other iPhone upgrade, the processor will most likely be enhanced. The A7 chip is a hot rumor that many Apple experts don't know if the company will hold out the new processor for the iPhone 6 rather than the minimal "S" upgrade. However, the iPhone 4S received the A5 processor upgrade when it was released in 2011, so who knows?
Though it's been a rumored feature for the last couple years now, the technology was recently purchased from AuthenTec for fingerprint sensor capabilities. How this will be used we still don't know.
Oh yeah. There may even be a gold option for the new iPhone 5S.
Keep checking in for all iPhone 5S released date, specs and features rumors.
