Critics are hailing the iPhone 5S as "everything a smartphone should be" because of its combination of usability and practicality. The iPhone 5S has all of the specs and features that a consumer needs from a smartphone and comes at a price that makes it available to nearly everyone. While there are worthy competitors out there, such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, the iPhone 5S remains as not only the best selling phone out there, but also the most critically praised device. Let's take a look at a few of the reviews out there and break down the information about the specs and features.

Xavier Lanier from GottaBeMobile.com wrote a review in which he compared all of the smartphone devices that he owned and used on a regular basis. He wrote, "The iPhone 5S is the best phone Apple's produced to date and the benchmark of what a smartphone should be. Though there are some worthy competitors, the iPhone 5S is the phone I recommend without reservation and suggest people put at the top of their shopping lists. Instead of attempting to blow past the competition with bigger everything, it improves the popular device and is now the keystone to the most mature mobile technology ecosystem."

He goes on to list some of the pros and cons of the device. The pros include "excellent build quality, touch ID fingerprint sensor, and best smartphone ecosystem." The cons are listed as "screen too small for some activities, expensive, Google services are better on Android devices."
