iPhone 6 No Contract vs Two-Year Contract: Price on Verizon and Sprint
Consumers interested in obtaining a new iPhone 6 can do so without having to spend a large amount of money upfront. Currently, many wireless carriers offer a lower price for the device with a two-year contract attached.
According to Daily Finance, cell carriers have this system based on using terms of service agreements and a web interface to offer a lower selling price on certain smartphone models. Two-year contracts are most commonly associated with this type of price cut.
According to Christian Post, there are four wireless carriers in the US, namely: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T- Mobile. Prices between the different service providers vary, as well as the terms of the contract.
For example, Verizon offers the latest 16 GB iPhone 6 for $199 with the contract, and $649 without the contract. The carrier does not lose money on the deal because they offer the lower price for a customer's continues business.
Meanwhile, Sprint offers a plan named "iPhone for Life Plan" which gives customers the option not to pay anything and instead, receive monthly billing in the amount of $70, $50 goes toward to the unlimited data plan and $20 for the phone itself.
Smart consumers consider all their options before signing on with a wireless carrier, and locking themselves into a two year contract. Some deals may be more appropriate than others, basically, that depends on the financial status and needs of the consumer.
Considering all options before making a purchase or signing any contract is the best way to ensure that you're getting the most bang for your buck, espeicially when it comes to the new iPhone 6.
