iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 Comparison: Review of Features, Specs - It All Comes Down to the OS
If Apple's new iPhone 6 has any competition in the market at all, it comes from Samsung's Galaxy S5 (with HTC's One M8 right behind). Both phones are in major demand, as they come with premium specs and features, at a reasonable price.
The iPhone 6, is certainly Apple's thinnest smartphone yet, and it comes with the first change in display resolution via Apple in over two years.
On the other hand, Galaxy S5 is also the biggest thing that has happened for Samsung, the device is the first ever to have a fingerprint sensor and has an improved TouchWiz.
In a direct comparison, Samsung Galaxy S5 draws first blood with a larger display as it has a 5.1 inch display, while iPhone 6 features a 4.7 inch display. Nonetheless, iPhone wins in design as its beautiful metal body with curved edges is only 0.27 inches wide. Samsung Galaxy S5 measures about 0.31 inches thick.
Talking about resolution Galaxy S5 looks strong on paper with a 1920 x 1080 resolution with 432 pixels per inch, while iPhone 6 features a 1334 x 750 resolution screen packing with 326 pixels per inch. That being said, there is not much of a difference in picture quality among two. Except, while white colors are brighter on the iPhone, and various colors look bolder on Galaxy S5.
iPhone's camera has a slight advantage over Galaxy S5's as it works better in low light.
Comparing the batteries there is not much of a difference between Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5. Both of them run up to 10 hours straight on moderate usage. However Samsung has a removable battery so you can change it when you are low on juice.
Lastly when it comes to the OS and app it all depends on whether are you an iOS user or an Android user. Both are well reputed software and both have a major following, so it all boils down to personal choice.
