iPhone 8 Release Date, News, Rumors: Flagship To Be Launched September 2017?

There are a number of news and rumors on the iPhone 8 and while the company has not really confirmed anything, everybody seems to be in agreement that the flagship will launch next year, specifically in September.

Nobody will dispute that the iPhone 8 release date will be next year, considering that 2017 is the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. There's no better time for Apple to unveil what could be the most impressive device yet under the brand.

Already the rumors are claiming that the iPhone 8 will feature a curved AMOLED display just like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. On this aspect, Apple reportedly partnered with Sharp to supply the OLED display for the iPhone 8.

The screen size is also reported to be 5.8 inches, although fans are clamoring for a 5-inch display for a long time. But it's speculated that that size is reserved for the iPhone 8 Plus, with the basic unit probably smaller. There's also a glass body on at least one model, as revealed by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which he said will be integrated into a steel or aluminum steel frame.

In other news and rumors, the iPhone 8 will reportedly feature the A11 chip, which is already 10nm and that means faster, more efficient and with less battery usage. Other features include facial and iris scanning and Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

The audio jack will not be making a comeback as Apple is bent on going totally wireless. Also, if the rumors are to be believed, there's no visible camera lens as it will be embedded directly into the display screen.
