Jennifer Layne, songwriter and vocalist for the musical duo Back Home lost her father, Ronald Dawson, yesterday after a long battle with Leukemia.

Jennifer stated, "After months of suffering with this terrible disease,

Dad is finally without pain and singing in that heavenly choir." At age 61, Ronald gave up this life as a brave soldier not only of this country, but also for his Heavenly Father and if just beginning to reap the benefits of his earthly battles.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 4 pm until 8 pm CDT and Monday, October 15, 2012, from 1 pm until 8pm CDT.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 pm CDT, Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
