"Jersey Shore" Star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is Under Federal Investigation for His Finances

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from the hit reality series "Jersey Shore" is under investigation by the federal government for his financial situation. Sorrentino owns several companies and has made many investments with the money he earned for the MTV series and private appearances. Sources are claiming that some of his business associates have been subpoenaed in this case. The FBI wants to see where all of his money is coming from and where all of it is going. Critics speculate that he hasn't been paying taxes for the income from one or all four of the companies that he owns.

Some companies that Sorrentino owns a part of are Situation Nation clothing line, Situation Productions and GTL Management, among others.

TMZ claims that The Situation is looking at felony charges if he gets convicted with tax evasion by any one of his four companies.

"The Situation" became famous for his role in "Jersey Shore," a show that focused on the "hook-up" culture on the New Jersey beaches. The cast consisted of Snooki and J-Wow amongst others. The show was one of the more controversial shows on television due to its encouragement of "hooking up" and alcohol consumption.

Another cast member, Pauly D, has been having some personal struggles as well, but instead of finances he has to worry about child support. He recently had a child with one time girlfriend Amanda Market and the couple have been fighting ever since.
