Jimmy Kimmel and Kanye West Make Nice After Twitter Feud Over Skit: Does Kanye Apologize to Kimmel? [VIDEO]
Kanye West went on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show last night to talk about his Twitter feud with the late night host. A few weeks ago, Kimmel spoofed a BBC interview Kanye had in which he claimed he was a "genius." Kanye took offense to the video and called up Kimmel to yell at him. Then, Kanye took to Twitter to let the world know how upset he was at Kimmel for the skit. The feud ended yesterday when the two sat down and talked about it like adults.
Kimmel said, "I don't know if you know this, but a lot of people think you're a jerk. When you said you think you're a genius, I think that upsets people. But the truth is a lot of people think they're geniuses, but nobody says it because it's weird to say it. But it is most certainly more to say 'I'm a genius.'"
West's reason that he gave for being so upset was that he feels like he gets a bad shake from the paparazzi. West said, "The way the paparazzi talk to me and my family is disrespectful also, you know what I'm saying? We bring something of joy to the world. When people hear my music they have a good time, and I should be respected as such when I walk down the street. Don't ask me a question about something you saw on the tabloids. Don't try to antagonize me, because it's not safe for you in this zoo, you know? Never think that I'm not from Chicago for one second."
There was much speculation that the whole feud was a publicity stunt by Kimmel and Kanye, but the two deny the allegations. West stayed on the show so long that they had to cut short the Arctic Monkeys' musical performance.
Take a look at the interview that Kanye and Kimmel had last night and see how the two resolved the dispute.
