Joshua Rogers' Latest Single "Pour Your Oil" From Upcoming Album Gains Traction On Charts
Gospel artist Joshua Rogers is gaining traction at Gospel radio with his latest single, "Pour Your Oil," from his upcoming third album. The song is the lead single from the new album and jumped five places from No. 29 to No. 24 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart during its third week on the tally, increasing radio plays by 15%. In addition, the single gained an 88% increase with on-demand audio streams, according to Nielsen Music.
Produced by 2016 BMI Songwriter of the Year recipient Lucius B. Hoskins, "Pour Your Oil" marks the Greelevyille, South Carolina native's second career Top 24 single, and is on track to surpass his current highest charting radio single to-date, his 2013 "So Good," which peaked at No. 19.
As the 24-year-old Rogers prepares to release his most personal and career-defining project yet on new record label home Mixed Bag Music, he continues to showcase his multi-dimensional vocal ability across the country with promotional appearances, including an upcoming performance in August at one of Cincinnati's largest family-focused 3-day weekend events. Drawing more than 20,000 attendees yearly, Rogers will perform on the Gospel main stage at "The 30th Annual Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion Celebration" at Sawyer Point.
Rogers first rose to prominence in 2012, when he became the first male and youngest winner of BET's Sunday Best during the show's fifth season. His debut album, Well Done, released the same year, featuring songs he had performed on Sunday Best and landed at No. 1 on Billboard's Gospel Album chart. His sophomore effort, Unconditional, released in 2013 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Gospel Album chart.
"Pour Your Oil" is available for streaming and purchase everywhere now.
