Julia Roberts Says Jennifer Lawrence is "Too Cool" to be 'America's Sweetheart.'

Jennifer Lawrence is easily one of the hottest young actresses in the industry these days. Since her debut as Katniss Everdeen in the first Hunger Games film to taking home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress last year for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, it's as if the waters part at the flick of Lawrence's pinky finger.

But does she have the stuff to join the 'Sweetheart's Club?"

Not according to one head Sweetheart-in-charge Julia Roberts. In an interview with MTV, the 46-year old actress said the honor was below Lawrence, citing the action/rom-com star as far too cool to join the ranks, which include Marilyn Monroe, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan and Roberts herself.

"She shoots flaming arrows," Roberts joked in the interview. "Is this a new cupid tactic? I think she's fabulous, but she seems cooler than me."

Unlike Roberts, Lawrence jumped headfirst into heavier roles like Company Town and Winter's Bone, waiting to transition to lighter content until she's established herself as a serious actress.

Breaking big with Pretty Woman, Roberts is starring in the upcoming black comedy-drama August: Osage County in 2013. The iconic actress says her days of being the nation's sweetheart are over.

"My card is expired, and I didn't get a new one," Roberts told MTV.
