Justin Bieber was arrested Thursday morning in Miami Beach on suspicion of driving under the influence and drag racing, said Miami Beach police Detective Vivian Hernandez.

Additional details about the arrest are still not available, as it is still an on going process.

This is the young pop star's first time being arrested, although he is under investigation for allegedly egging his neighbor's California home.

Police said the young star failed a field sobriety test. Bieber flew to Miami on Monday and was posting pictures of himself on his social media accounts.

Deputies have also investigated reports by Bieber's neighbors that he was racing sports car down the streets of the gated Oaks community of Calabasas, CA, but he was not charged.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies used a felony search warrant to raid Bieber's mansion in the vandalism investigation on January 9.

Bieber has been growing up in the spotlight, and the center of media scrutiny as of late.

In 2010 Bieber said the following to the Associated Press:

"Hollywood is ... a scary place. There's a lot going on, there's a lot of bad things, but there's also a lot of good things. I'm able to live my dream; I'm able to do a lot of good things. Basically, I don't even consider religion. Like, I'm a Christian; I believe in God, I believe that Jesus died on a cross for my sins. I believe that I have a relationship and I'm able to talk to him and really, he's the reason I'm here, so I definitely have to remember that. As soon as I start forgetting, I've got to click back and be like, you know, this is why I'm here," stated Bieber.

Since then, Bieber's fame has sky rocketed even further. He has four number one albums on the Billboard top 200 in the United States, numerous awards, and had a highly publicized romance with Disney star Selena Gomez.

He has been in many controversial incidents and legal battles recently. Photographers have taken pictures of him making obscene gestures on several different occasions. He mooned fans on Instagram after splitting up with Selena Gomez, and nearly got into a fistfight with a British paparazzo after the photographer cursed at Bieber.

Hopefully Bieber can right the ship that was filled with so much promise when he started.
