Justin Bieber 'Believe' Movie: Will the Singer Once Again Showcase His Christian Faith, or Are Critics Right That He's Too Far Gone? (VIDEO)

Justin Bieber's movie, "Believe," arrives in theaters on Christmas day. Will the young pop star's Christian faith be part of the film this time around?

Justin Bieber has been growing up in the spotlight, and has been the center of media scrutiny this year. Certainly a great deal has changed since he was last seen on the big screen.

Bieber's last film, directed by Jon M. Chu, took viewers on a journey of his beginnings, his family life, strong Christian faith, his rise to stardom from his YouTube videos, and followed him to what was considered his biggest performance - Madison Square Garden.

The Canadian pop star's mother Pattie Mallette has publicly said that Justin became a Christian at an early age. Her son's success has really given her a platform to share her story of redemption through her faith as well.

In 2010 Bieber said the following to the Associated Press:

"Hollywood is ... a scary place. There's a lot going on, there's a lot of bad things, but there's also a lot of good things. I'm able to live my dream, I'm able to do a lot of good things. Basically, I don't even consider religion. Like, I'm a Christian, I believe in God, I believe that Jesus died on a cross for my sins. I believe that I have a relationship and I'm able to talk to him and really, he's the reason I'm here, so I definitely have to remember that. As soon as I start forgetting, I've got to click back and be like, you know, this is why I'm here," stated Bieber

Since then, Bieber's fame has sky rocketed. He has four number one albums on the Billboard top 200 in the United States, numerous awards, and a highly publicized romance with Disney star Selena Gomez.

The singer has had many controversial incidents and legal battles occur as of late. Photographers have taken pictures of him making obscene gestures on several different occasions. On one particular incident, he mooned fans on Instagram after splitting up with Selena Gomez. The he nearly got into a fistfight with a British paparazzo after the photographer cursed at Bieber, and yet another time, he relieved himself in a restaurant mop bucket in New York.

In the film Bieber is stunned at Chu's direct question on whether he is destined to become a pop-culture train wreck, reports USA Today.

"I'm not going to be stupid enough for that to happen," replied Bieber.

The kid from the YouTube videos has grown up. Many changes have taken place. Will his new movie discuss his faith? With all His success, has Bieber really strayed from his Christian roots like some critics are suggesting? Let's hope not, given that his movie is titled "Believe."
