Katie Hopkins Jesus Comparison Controversy: 'Being Hated is A Cross I Bear - Like the Jesus of The Outspoken'

British Personality Katie Hopkins and former reality star of UK TV series The Apprentice drew criticism for comparing herself to Jesus.

Hopkins is popularly known in the UK for her controversial remarks. Labeled "Britians most disliked chat show pundit" by The Independent. The former Apprentice winner engaged followers in a Q&A session on Twitter yesterday in which she discussed a number of Topics.

Hopkins has said she accepts being hated by the public when a follower seemly tried to take a stab at her with their question.

"How does it feel to be a waste of air and nationally hated? ?#askkatie,??" the tweet read. "Being hated is a cross I bear. Like the Jesus of the outspoken, ?" Hopkins responded.

Questions about the intention of her Jesus comparison began light up her timeline. One asking how did the famous commentator compare to Jesus, who influences "countless lives?" in which she responded, "that's what my family call me xx"

She went on to further compare herself to God with comments like "I am also on the hunt for a Moses to come down from my rock with Hopkins commandments. Adultery has been scratched," and "As Jesus of the outspoken I am on the hunt for some disciples."

Hopkins, a Sun newspaper columnist, whose comments are often contentious was allegedly dropped as a contributor by ITV's This Morning in December after a tweet about life expectancy in Scotland in which people said appeared to make light of a helicopter crash in Glasgow.

She also faced a backlash after saying that singer Lily Allen looked "hideous" while she was pregnant.

In an exclusive interview with The Independent Photographer Rankin said he found Hopkins even more offensive than North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
