The Los Angeles Dodgers will go head-to-head against the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon at Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri. The game will start at 5:00 pm ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).
LA (1-2) is looking to avoid being eliminated from postseason contention versus the St. Louis Cardinals when their ace Clayton Kershaw (21-3, 3.04 ERA) starts Game 4 of the 2014 NLDS on four days rest.
"Any time we put Clayton Kershaw on the mound, we feel pretty good," said Dodgers manager Don Mattingly to reporters after his team lost to the Cardinals by a score of 3-1.
"That being said, we're in a tough game. We're in St. Louis. But I think this club has been a club that's bounced back every time we've had any kind of trouble and lost a tough game. For us, it's a matter of winning one game with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. We feel pretty good about that. And we'll move forward. We don't worry about the Game 5. We worry about Game 4."
Meanwhile, the Cardinals are looking to advance to the NLCS (versus the Nationals/Giants) after potentially defeating the Dodgers in Game 4 of the best-of-5 series this afternoon.
Cardinals (2-1) expect that their pitcher Shelby Miller (10-9, 3.74 ERA) will seal the victory against Los Angeles in the upcoming match between these two formidable MLB squads.
"I know I'll be nervous, excited," said Miller to reporters, "I feel like it's an awesome opportunity to get to pitch in games like this. My whole life I've been excited and been waiting for this kind of opportunity.
"I think the biggest thing is just take it all in, and whatever situation we're sitting in, I'm going to treat it the same exact way, as if it were my last. The biggest thing is to go out there and just fight for my teammates."
The game will start at 5:00 pm ET and can be watched on TV on the FS1 network or online through live stream by clicking here.
