Lady Gaga & Beau Taylor Kinney Attend Church and Are Blown Away by a Worship Leader; 'You Were Sensational' the Pop Star Texted [SEE HERE]
Pop star Lady Gaga attended church this past Sunday with her longtime boyfriend, actor Taylor Kinney and Gaga was so impressed with the worship leader that she sent her a text message after the service and provided "generous" advice.
The people at Grandview United Methodist Church in Manheim Township, PA were shocked to see Gaga and Kinney walk in for their Sunday service. According to LancasterOnline, the Hollywood couple was in town to attend a family baptism because Kinney's aunt attends Grandview.
The worship leader at Grandview was notified shortly before the 10 a.m. service that Gaga and Kinney were in the church. "I'm a huge fan," Fulmer told LancasterOnline, "So I calmed down, then went to my spot."
During the set Fulmer performed her original song, "He is Coming."
"I wrote it for Christmas Eve," she explained, "It's about how Bethlehem is still pertinent today. It's not just an old story."
Fulmer told the publication she was nervous before and after the service but during the performance her professional instincts took over.
"When I began playing, I was like, hey, work it out," she confessed, "During the song, it's like she wasn't there. Then I got nervous again when I was done. People from the church told me that she whispered to her boyfriend that I was good."
The 24-year-old woman apparently impressed Gaga because after the service she went up to speak with Fulmer but the singer had stepped out to catch her breath. When she could not find her, Gaga slipped out of a side door of the church with 'Chicago Fire' star Kinney.
Fulmer disappointed by the "missed connection" was later encouraged when Kinney got Fulmer's number from someone else at the church, and Gaga sent her a message from a friend's phone.
"Hi Liz, it's Gaga," it read, "You were sensational. Keep up the amazing work."
Fulmer quickly posted her excitement to Facebook: "Gaga texted me to say I was 'sensational' - #sohappyicoulddie."
Gaga reportedly also offered Fulmer advice on a music career, which she said Fulmer could forward to her through Kinney's aunt. "It was a very generous offer," Fulmer said.
Fulmer later took to Facebook to say, "I am overwhelmed with gratitude and surprise. Thank you to Lady Gaga and thanks to everyone for caring. Maybe I should give the music thing a real solid try?"
