Derrick Rose Claims He is Best Player in the NBA, Above Lebron James, Watch Interview Here (VIDEO) 

Derrick Rose better than Lebron James? Well that is what Derrick Rose thinks, or says at least. 

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose answers a round of quickfire questions from CNN's Pedro Pinto (watch above). 

Rose has had a tough year, tearing his ACL, going through a grueling recovery and rehab and then choosing to sit out of the playoffs even after being cleared by the doctors to play. 

Rose claimed to sit to out to make sure he is 100% healthy and ready to go for this upcoming NBA Season 2013-14. 

Rather then staying away from comments, Rose has told media multiple times that he will come back better than ever and then in the new interview above, claims that he is the best player in the league. 

This can be good and bad for the fans of Chicago. On the good side, you of course like his confidence, or at least him speaking like he has confidence. On the bad side, after deciding to sit out of the playoffs and to keep making statements about how good he is going to be, you worry about him injuring himself again. 

Rose will come out with so much energy, excited and pressure from all of this build up that he might try to do too much or go too fast to back up everything he's said and put himself in a bad position again. 

I have always felt that he should have played in last years playoffs. Everyone would have given him slack if he didn't play great, he could've played limited minutes and he wouldn't have had to sit all summer without any NBA experience on his new leg. 

He just keeps heaping so much added pressure on himself because he feels like that is what a "star" player says and acts. He is right, thats how they do act and what they say normally. We will just all get to see how mentally tough Derrick Rose is actually this year when he goes out and performs again, rather than just talks about it. 

Even before he got hurt, no one really would've considered him to be a better all around player than Lebron James and now especially with James improving his game and getting his second ring, Rose is going to have a lot to prove to take the throne as NBA's best player.
